That was my story. I knew what I was called to do and I knew that entrepreneurship was the best way for me to do it but I didn’t know how to put the pieces of the puzzle together. So, I struggled.
First, I put off launching my business because I was afraid of failing. I was afraid of giving up the security of the job I had. I was afraid to bet on me. But after the job was no longer an issue and I launched my business, I still struggled.
I launched a business doing what I could do because I was told to go after the “low hanging fruit” and to “take the fastest path to the cash.” But I quickly realized that what I could do is not what I wanted to do. Then, I pivoted to a business that other people thought I should do because I was good at it. Guess what, HATED IT!
I wanted to give up because nothing seemed to be working and I was still unfulfilled.
Then I got quiet and I got clear. I asked myself the questions that no other coach had asked me. I did some soul searching about the work I wanted to do, who I wanted to serve, how I wanted to serve them, why I wanted to serve them, and how all of this impacts me personally. Now, I have the business I wanted from the start and I get to work with other women like you helping you to do the same.
But the thing is, it shouldn’t have taken me that long. And even after getting the clarity I needed, there was still something missing that was preventing me from growing my business the way I wanted. I’ll get to that in a moment.
